On the 17th of February we celebrated Ash Wednesday with all students and staff participating in a Liturgy of the Word with Father Peter. During the Liturgy ashes were blessed and distributed by a sprinkling on the head. This ritual of being blessed with ash is an expression of our faith, as we all promised to ‘Try to be more like Jesus’. While this may sound like an easy promise, it is fact an enormous commitment. The idea of giving to others through acts of kindness is a wonderful way for our children to prepare for the Easter season.
