Counselling

While all staff at St Mary’s Catholic Primary School actively care for and support the social and emotional growth of our students, there are times when specialist expertise is required.

Issues such as family breakdowns, separation, or illness can have a profound effect on the children. Low self-esteem, anxiety and similar concerns are also problems that children may face.

We are committed to providing an environment where children feel safe to work through these issues with a qualified professional. Our school counsellor is at St Mary’s several days each week to work with our students.

Parental consent is always sought before commencing counselling.
