Catholic Education Week 27 July - 2 August 2025

We celebrated Catholic Education Week 2025 from Sunday 27 July to Saturday 2 August. This is a special time when Catholic schools across Queensland come together to honour the heart of our identity – communities grounded in faith, hope and love.

This year’s theme, “Communities of Faith, Hope and Love”, encouraged us to reflect on the strength and beauty of our school family. At St. Mary’s, we see these values lived out daily – in our classrooms, playgrounds, prayer gatherings and community celebrations.

Throughout the week, our students will be participated  in a range of fun and exciting activities such as notes to St Mary's neighbours, letter to nursing home residents, kindness rocks, cheerful and positive artworks for cancer patients, cards for hospital patients and BlueCare Aged Care Facility, making teddies/toys for children, making suncatchers, collecting pre-loved books to donate, collecting donations for Blanket Buddies, random acts of kindness drop off to the hospitals and pocket hugs hidden in the parks.
