Safety, security and nurture are fundamental human rights and needs. At St Mary’s Catholic Primary School any concerns or reasonable suspicions raised regarding a student’s safety and well-being (including the behaviour of a staff member or volunteer which a student considers to be inappropriate), will be managed in accordance with Rockhampton Catholic Education Student Protection Processes.

The Daniel Morcombe Child Safety Curriculum for Queensland students is taught at St Mary’s. This curriculum aims to teach children about personal safety and awareness, including cybersafety and phone safety, by focusing on three key safety messages - Recognise, React and Report.
